Day 1: Arrival and Welcome

    TAUERN SPA Hotel & Therme – A luxury 4-star superior hotel offering breathtaking views of the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier and direct access to thermal spa facilities. The hotel features conference rooms, a wellness area with multiple saunas, and an outdoor pool for relaxation after skiing.

  • Welcome Activity:

    Private transfer from Salzburg Airport to Kaprun (1.5-hour drive) with refreshments on board. Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed with hot mulled wine and traditional Austrian pretzels. A brief introduction to the hotel’s facilities will be provided, followed by a relaxing check-in.

  • Dining:

    Welcome dinner at Restaurant Lichtblick, a fine-dining restaurant in the TAUERN SPA Hotel, serving regional specialties with a modern twist. The menu will feature local Austrian favorites like Wiener schnitzel, mountain cheeses, and apple strudel, paired with Austrian wines.

Day 2: Full Day of Skiing and Après-Ski

  • Morning Skiing:

    After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, the group will head to the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier, known for its fantastic snow conditions and year-round skiing.

      • Experienced skiers can join a guided session exploring the glacier’s varied slopes, including the famous Glacier Park and freeride zones.
      • Beginners can participate in Group Ski Lessons with professional instructors, learning the basics on gentle, wide pistes.
      • Private ski instructors are available for those seeking one-on-one coaching or advanced lessons.
 
  • Lunch On-Mountain:

    Lunch at Gipfel Restaurant, located at 3,029 meters with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. The restaurant offers traditional Austrian dishes like kasnocken (cheese dumplings), soups, and sausages, as well as vegetarian options.

  • Afternoon Skiing:

    After lunch, continue skiing across the glacier’s many slopes. Advanced skiers can explore the more challenging terrain, while beginners have the option to keep practicing with instructors. The Kitzsteinhorn also offers snow parks for those interested in freestyle skiing or snowboarding.

  • Après-Ski Party:

    Return to Kaprun for a lively après-ski party at the Kitsch & Bitter bar, a popular local spot. Guests can enjoy drinks, music, and snacks in a relaxed alpine setting, or alternatively, visit the hotel’s thermal spa for some post-ski relaxation in the outdoor heated pools and saunas.

  • Dining:

    Hilberger’s Beisl – Dinner at this cozy and rustic restaurant in the heart of Kaprun, serving hearty Austrian cuisine such as goulash, grilled meats, and local mountain cheeses. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for unwinding after an active day.

Day 3: Skiing, Snow Activities, and Wellness

  • Morning Skiing:

    A second full day of skiing at Maiskogel, a family-friendly ski area directly connected to Kitzsteinhorn via the 3K K-onnection cable car. Guests can explore the ski area at their leisure, or opt for additional Private Ski Lessons to hone their skills.

  • Non-Skiing Options:

    For those wanting to try something new, a Snowshoeing Adventure will be available, taking participants through picturesque winter forests and meadows. Alternatively, guests can enjoy a Snowmobile Tour or even Tobogganing for some lighthearted fun.

  • Lunch On-Mountain:

    Lunch at Alpengasthaus Glocknerblick, a traditional mountain hut with incredible views of Austria’s highest peak, Grossglockner. The menu will include hearty mountain fare such as dumplings, soups, and regional sausages.

  • Afternoon Wellness or Activity:

    Guests have the option to continue skiing or spend the afternoon at the TAUERN SPA’s wellness center. The spa offers a wide range of treatments including massages, thermal baths, and sauna experiences, or they can simply relax by the panoramic outdoor pool.

  • Evening Activity:

    Private Glacier Evening at the top of the Kitzsteinhorn, where the group will ride the cable car up after hours to enjoy the quiet serenity of the glacier. A private guide will lead a short snowshoe walk, followed by a Fondue Dinner inside the Ice Camp Igloo Bar – a unique and memorable experience.

  • Dining:

    Following the glacier evening, the group will enjoy a relaxed meal at Auhof Kaprun, a restaurant known for its blend of traditional and modern Austrian dishes. The menu will feature options such as slow-roasted meats, fresh fish, and creative vegetarian dishes.

Day 4: Skiing & Departure

  • Morning Skiing:

    A final morning of skiing, making the most of the slopes. Instructors will be available for additional coaching or guiding small groups. Non-skiers can enjoy another relaxing spa morning or take part in an optional Cable Car Ride to the Kitzsteinhorn Panorama Platform, offering breathtaking views across the Alps.

  • Farewell Brunch:

    The group will gather for a farewell brunch at the hotel, featuring a spread of Austrian pastries, fresh fruit, and a variety of hot dishes like scrambled eggs, bacon, and local cheeses.

  • Departure:

    Private shuttle transfers will be arranged to take guests back to Salzburg Airport for their return flights.
